Upin Ipin

Karakter para pemain Upin & Ipin sangat kuat sekali. Terkadang aku teringat dengan serial Doraemon yang masing-masing pemainnnya juga berkarakter. Dan ini adalah susunan karakter dalam serial Upin & Ipin:

Upin
ialah abang kembar Ipin, hanya lima menit lebih tua. Dia lebih banyak bicara dan selalu mendalangi perangai anak kembar ini. Dia dapat dibedakan dari adiknya melalui sehelai rambut di kepalanya.

Ipin
ialah adik kembar Upin. Dia dikenali karena sering mengulang perkataan "betul betul betul" sebagai tanda setuju . Dia amat menggemari ayam goreng.

Upin & Ipin merupakan anak yatim piatu, seperti yang dipaparkan di episode 6, saat mereka sekeluarga menziarahi makam ibu dan ayah mereka.

Kak Ros
Kak Ros adalah kakak Upin dan Ipin. Dari luar ia nampak garang tetapi sebenarnya dia seorang kakak yang penyayang. Dia suka mempermainkan adik-adiknya.

Mak Uda atau Opah
Mak Uda adalah nenek Upin, Ipin dan Ros. Dia berhati bersih dan sering memanjakan Upin dan Ipin. Ia mengetahui banyak hal duniawi dan keagamaan. Ia lebih sering dipanggil Opah.

Fizi
Fizi adalah teman Upin dan Ipin. Dia bersifat penuh keyakinan dan amat dimanjakan orangtuanya. Terkadang dia kelihatan suka besar mulut, tetapi sebenarnya baik hati dan menyayangi orangtuanya. Dia sering terlihat berdua dengan Ehsan.

Ehsan
Ehsan ialah sepupu Fizi. Meskipun suka makan, menyendiri dan cerewet, dia tetap seorang teman setia. Dirumahnya ia dipanggil Bobob. Sedangkan oleh Fizi ia terkadang dipanggil intan payung atau anak manja.

Rajoo
Rajoo ialah berketurunan India. Ia lebih tua lima tahun dibandingkan Upin dan Ipin. Oleh karena itu seolah-olah ia menjadi kakak kepada mereka. Mereka bertiga selalu bermain bersama di kampung mereka.

Mei Mei
Mei Mei ialah berketurunan Cina, dia seorang teman sepermainan dan juga teman sekelas Upin dan Ipin. Selain cantik dan banyak menyayanginya, ia selalu menjadi yang paling waras di kalangan kawan-kawannya. Mei-Mei adalah anak terpintar di kelasnya.

Mail
Mail adalah seorang teman sekelas Upin dan Ipin. Dia juga turut serta dalam pekerjaan nakal kakak beradik kembar ini tetapi ia gegabah dan tidak bisa diandalkan. Sepanjang bulan Ramadhan, musim kedua, Mail tidak pernah menunaikan puasa walaupun sudah cukup umur, tetapi dia juga membantu ibunya menjual makanan di Pasar Ramadhan. Di kelasnya dan di kalangan teman-temannya ia dijuluki Mail 2 seringgit.

Jarjit
Jarjit adalah dari keturunan Sikh Benggali. Dia adalah teman sekelas Upin dan Ipin.Dia selalu ikut serta dalam permainan anak-anak lain, namun setiap kali terjadi sesuatu yang menyebabkannya ditinggalkan. Dia pandai berpantun dan berteka-teki.

Cikgu Jasmin atau Bu Guru Jasmin (PN Jasmin Ally)
Guru kelas Upin dan Ipin dan kawan-kawan di sekolah Tadika. Di episode ke 9, dia terlihat tidak berpuasa ketika bulan Ramadhan dengan sebab-sebab yang tidak jelas. Mungkin karena sedang datang bulan.

Dato tuan Dalang Rangi
Kakek yang merupakan tetangga Upin dan Ipin. Dia adalah orang yang baik terhadap dua saudara kembar itu. Dia sangat kaya akan tetapi dia pelit dan sangat malas karena ia sering menyuruh keduanya untuk membersihkan rumahnya.

Badrol
Cucu Dato tuan Dalang Rangi. Ia merantau ke Kuala Lumpur untuk meneruskan pendidikannya. Meski sangat ceroboh, dalam salah satu episode Badrol sangat menyukai Kak Ros.

Susanti
Teman Upin dan Ipin yang merupakan pindahan dari Indonesia. Baru tinggal di Malaysia ini, dan belum terbiasa dengan obrolan anak-anak lainnya. Pertama kali muncul pada episode "Berpuasa Bersama Kawan Baru". Nampaknya diam-diam Mail tertarik dengan Susanti.

Dzul & Ijat
Dua orang teman sekelas Upin dan Ipin yang sentiasa muncul secara berdampingan karena Ijat buta aksara sehingga dia memerlukan bantuan Dzul untuk "menterjemahkan" kata-katanya.

Serial Upin & Ipin merupakan serial kartun yang dibuat secara animasi 3D, sama seperti film kartun "Madagascar 2" atau "Kung Fu". Hanya saja, kualitasnya memang tidak sebagus kedua film kartun Hollywood itu. Namun, Upin & Ipin masih jauh lebih bagus daripada Doraeman atau Sinchan.

Ironis memang. Di saat, Indonesia sering sombong menuduh Malaysia mencuri budaya kita, eh....ternyata Malaysia bisa membuat sebuah produk yang mampu menyita perhatian Indonesia.

Kayaknya Upin & Ipin bakal semakin laris deh di Indonesia.....
